This policy applies to event registrations, tickets and Collaborator packages sold by the Ontario Energy Collaborative Association (“OECA”).
All event sales are final
Unless this policy or applicable law states otherwise, event registrations, tickets and Collaborator packages are non-refundable.
Refunds will not normally be provided for:
- Changes in personal or business plans
- Scheduling conflicts
- Travel or accommodation difficulties
- Failure to attend
- Unused registrations or Collaborator benefits
- Changes to speakers, sessions, agenda or event programming
- Removal from an event for misconduct
Attendee substitutions
A paid registration may be transferred to another attendee by contacting [email protected] before the event begins. The original purchaser must provide accurate replacement-attendee information. A transfer does not entitle either party to a refund, and tickets may not be resold for profit.
Postponed or rescheduled events
If an event is postponed, rescheduled, moved to another reasonably accessible venue or converted between in-person and virtual delivery, the registration will normally remain valid for the revised event. OECA will communicate any refund or credit option when a change is sufficiently material or when required by law.
Events cancelled by OECA
If OECA cancels an event and does not provide a replacement event, the original purchaser will receive a refund of the event registration price and applicable taxes paid. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where reasonably possible. OECA is not responsible for travel, accommodation or other third-party expenses.
For a Collaborator package containing benefits beyond event admission, OECA may provide substitute benefits, a credit or a refund for the portion of the package that cannot be delivered, subject to applicable law and an agreement with the purchaser.
Duplicate or incorrect charges
Suspected duplicate or incorrect charges should be reported promptly to [email protected]. Confirmed billing errors will be corrected.
Statutory rights
This policy does not limit cancellation, refund or other rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
